Artificial Intelligence and Predictive Models
Drug disposition depends on the dissolved, free (available) drug concentration. For rapid processes, conventional methods can overestimate the available drug or be too slow to characterize the kinetics. Pulsatile microdialysis (PMD) is a method that rapidly measures the available concentration and can be applied to processes where the free drug concentration changes rapidly and total concentration measurements are misleading. This study applies PMD to two problems: quantifying supersaturation and precipitation kinetics and determining binding/release kinetics of drug–carrier systems.
