(118) Biomimetic RBC-Liposomes: Impact of Membrane Properties on Protein Corona and Stability
Introduction: Lipid nanocarriers have undergone structural modifications to enhance their interaction with biological barriers. The latest generation of liposomes leverages the advantages of cell membranes to fine-tune the properties of these lipid nanoparticles This study explores the incorporation of synthetic lipids into biomimetic liposomes hybridized with red blood cell (RBC) membranes and examines their effects on protein corona formation, which impacts drug delivery, and immune interactions.
Learning Objectives:
Develop a biomimetic nanocarrier capable of modulating the formation of the hard protein corona.
