(170) Tailoring Ionizable Lipid Composition for better immune response
Introduction: LNPs are considered as effective mRNA delivery platform for clinical translation, particularly due to their success in delivery of spike mRNA for COVID-19 vaccines. The mRNA based vaccines are safe, non-infectious and highly efficacious; most importantly, unlike DNA vaccines, mRNA vaccines need to be delivered to only cytoplasm, which is achieved through non-viral vectors such as lipid nanoparticles. The Lipid nanoparticles not only act as a delivery vehicle for mRNA but also has adjuvant function due to presence of ionizable lipid.
Learning Objectives:
The Participant will be able to understand the Lipid Nanoparticle composition for mRNA delivery
To evaluate the effect of change in percentage of different composition of LNPs
To understand the difference in shape of Lipid nanoparticles
