(223) Polypeptide Based Conjugates for Precision Theranostics: Integrating Drug Delivery-Real Time Imaging
Introduction: Synthetic polypeptide-based nanomedicines are highly versatile, advanced therapeutic platforms, with many examples currently under clinical evaluation and some reaching market approval [1]. Imaging in drug delivery can support patient stratification and optimize treatment strategies, thereby accelerating the development and translation of personalized nanomedicines [2,3]. Organic compounds like porphyrins and phthalocyanines possess unique photophysical properties [3] making them valuable in applications ranging from diagnostic imaging [4] to therapeutic interventions.
Learning Objectives:
Develop a polypeptide-based theranostic for targeted delivery, monitoring, and combined therapy.
Target advanced solid tumours, focusing on metastases and crossing biological barriers.
