Immuno Delivery (Focus Group - ID)
Understanding immune regulation by metabolites which belongs to the propionate metabolism pathway is important in the context of immune cells [1]. Certain metabolites in this pathway are well known to regulate CD8+ T cell responses and controls immunometabolism. Additionally, it also enhances immunosuppression [2]. This work describes the importance of a novel polymers of one such metabolite (Metabolite X) of the propionate pathway, which helps in slow but steady and continuous release of the small molecule inside the host to generate long lasting and robust immunosuppression.
