(249) Microfluidic methods for fabrication of W/O/W microspheres using ultra-stable primary emulsion
Introduction: Microfluidics is well-known as a method for manufacturing the uniform microspheres. Using microfluidics, O/W emulsions can be generated easily, but W/O/W emulsion is hard to make by microfluidics because the microfluidics need a long time to manufacture the microspheres[1] compared to the other conventional microsphere fabrication method, and it leads to phase separation of W/O primary emulsion during the manufacturing time. Thereby, the colloidal stability of the W/O primary emulsion for microsphere fabrication has a crucial role in manufacturing the W/O/W type microspheres.
