(264) Revolutionizing Nanovesicle Production for Continuous Manufacturing with In-Line Homogenization
Introduction: Bilayered vesicles, including liposomes and niosomes, serve as versatile platforms for drug delivery in cosmetics and therapeutics. Despite their potential, scalability challenges and dependence on organic solvents pose environmental concerns. This study presents an approach, employing an in-line homogenizer for continuous, scalable production and a heat mixing method utilizing a solubilizer instead of organic solvents for formulating vesicular systems. These innovations enhance sustainability, uniformity, and industrial feasibility, advancing nanovesicle production for broader applications.
Learning Objectives:
Conduct the formulation of bilayered vesicular systems replacing organic solvents with solubilizer
Demonstrate the loading of hydrophilic & hydrophobic API in the vesicles using the introduced method
