(340) Thermoresponsive GPNMB-Hydrogels as an Innovative Therapeutic Strategy for Bone Regeneration

Introduction: This project focused on GPNMB (glycoprotein nonmetaststic melanoma protein B) as an endogenous osteogenic protein that can be applied as an innovative orthobiologic agent with attractive safety profiles and effectiveness in promoting bone formation [1]. Meanwhile, the application of GPNMB protein will require a suitable delivery platform that can maximize its retention at fusion sites and reduce or eliminate off-target effects [2]. This study aims at fabricating thermoresponsive GPNMB-hydrogel formulations and assessing its efficacy and safety for potential application in bone regeneration.
