Nanomedicine and Nanoscale Delivery (Focus Group - NND)
Surgical excision is the most efficacious curative treatment for pancreatic cancer when practicable. Adjuvant therapies are generally delivered postoperatively to eliminate leftover cancer cells. The distinct pathophysiological features of pancreatic cancer, including a hypoxic tumor microenvironment, significantly obstruct the effectiveness of these treatments. This work presents a nanomedicine formulation aimed at overcoming therapeutic obstacles, potentially augmenting the efficacy of adjuvant medicines, and raising patient survival rates.
