(390) Gas-Driven Fat Reduction with PEG-Based Nanocarriers
Introduction: There is a growing interest in non-surgical fat reduction due to aesthetic concerns and the limitations of traditional approaches including liposuction. To address these issues, we propose the use of polymeric micelles that generate bioinert carbon dioxide (CO2) gas, facilitating adipocytolysis by disrupting cellular membranes and enabling localized fat reduction in a minimally invasive manner.
Learning Objectives:
Develop gas-generating polymeric micelles for efficient CO2 mediated cytolysis.
Assess the therapeutic efficacy of multifunctional gas-generating micelles in vivo.
