(412) Preparation and characterization of Eudragit S 100 nanoparticles
Introduction: Nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems are gaining traction for improving the efficacy and bioavailability of antiviral drugs. Tenofovir, and Dapivirine used to manage HIV infection known for its ability to inhibit key enzymes in viral replication, however therapeutic effectiveness is limited by poor solubility and bioavailability. Encapsulation in polymeric nanoparticles offers a potential solution by protecting the drug from degradation, controlling release, enhancing targeted delivery. This study focuses on the development and characterization of polymeric nanoparticles of both drugs.
Learning Objectives:
develop ES 100 NPs of drugs with opposite solubility profiles
understand process variables parameters and its concentration influence on the final formulation
demonstrate that optimizing the parameters can develop fine tuned NPs with desired characteristics
