(452) Designing MELTSOFT: User-Centric Dosage via Hot Melt Extrusion

Introduction: Oral solid dosage forms especially tablets and capsules are the most prevalent, economical, and easy to manufacture compared to other dosage forms. However, they possess some limitations concerning manufacturing processes, taste masking, difficulty in swallowing, stability, and other factors. Consequently, there is a necessity for an innovative solution that will mitigate these limitations while offering advantages. This study presents the user-compliant dosage form 'MELTSOFT', developed by a continuous and environmentally friendly hot melt extrusion method.
