(471-C) Complex coacervation as a strategy of semaglutide- cationic polymer complex formation
Introduction: Complex coacervation, driven by electrostatic interactions between oppositely charged macromolecules, is a promising method for encapsulating and protecting peptides in harsh conditions. Peptide-polymer coacervates serve as carriers for delivering macromolecules such as nucleic acids and proteins [1].
This study examined SEM complexation with cationic polymers like chitosan oligosaccharide lactate (COS), polyethyleneimine (PEI), and poly-L-lysine (PLL). To enhance stability under acidic conditions, Eudragit L100 (EL) coating was applied to the SEM complexes.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will analyze SEM-polymer complexes' properties.
Upon completion, participants will evaluate SEM-COS@EL's effectiveness in acid conditions.
