(356) Polyarginine-functionalized nanoceria for the delivery of ocular therapeutics
Introduction: In clinical ophthalmology, topical administration is the most commonly used treatment modality in patients with corneal injuries. However, the bioavailability of conventional eye drops faces a major challenge in overcoming the biological barriers. Development of intrinsically therapeutic nanoparticle is an attractive field of research due to its bioactivity for disease treatment (1). To effectively alleviate eye injuries, this work aims to design and construct a nanomedicine composed of galunisertib and ginsenosides entrapped into polyarginine-functionalized ceria nanocapsule.
Learning Objectives:
Evaluate an intrinsically therapeutic nanoparticle as drug carrier for treating corneal injuries.
