Model-informed drug development (MIDD) use a variety of quantitative methods to help balance the risks and benefits of drug products in development. Here, we will provide a case-study on the clinical development of a modified release formulation for a BCS Class I drug using a physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) model approach.
