Precision nanomedicine for pediatric oral drug delivery in infectious diseases
Tuesday, July 15, 2025
3:49 PM – 4:00 PM EDT
Introduction: Currently there are no effective paediatric formulations for certain drugs employed to treat Helicobacter pylori infection. This leaves reliance on manipulation and compounding of adult formulations [1]. Furthermore, these drugs often have erratic absorption, and current formulations may not deliver the individual drugs to the required site of action in the body [2].
Learning Objectives:
At the completion of this activity, participants will know
Formulate pH-responsive, aloe emodin-incorporated nanoliposomes for delivery as an oral liquid latex
Improve the bioavailability and site-specific gastrointestinal and cellular delivery of amoxicillin.
