Transbuccal delivery of peptides with the suction patch

In this presentation, the latest developments on the suction patch—a noninvasive device designed to improve the transbuccal bioavailability of macromolecular drugs—are reported. This device increases the diffusion of these drugs across the buccal epithelium through a synergistic combination of mechanical stretching and the use of permeation enhancers.
