Delivery Technologies for Diversified Products
Bird-related losses to field-crops, vegetables and fruits pose significant problems for farmers worldwide. Bird damage due to corvids, pheasants etc. can significantly impact crop production by reducing yield, lowering quality of crops, spreading diseases, causing stress to plants, and disrupting the harvesting process by feeding on crops. 40% of bird repellants are lethal and 60% are non-lethal (e.g. Thiram, Mesurol, Korit etc). In EU, Mesurol and Thiram were banned in 2023. Ziram is registered till 2027. There is an urgent need for environmentally friendly bird repellent formulation in EMEA.
