Understanding Oral Route for Drug Delivery

Oral drug delivery must overcome various delivery challenges to achieve appropriate bioavailability. This presentation gives an overview of various physiological considerations and how in vitro methodologies can help predict and overcome these challenges. A specific focus will be given to biorelevant dissolution and modeling approaches that can help predict how the dosage form will perform in physiological conditions. Additionally, further characterization methods will be described to understand recent challenges with oral delivery of peptides.
