The Use of Liposomes in the Assessment of Antimicrobial Activity of Membrane-Active Compounds

How can we use liposomes as model systems to predict the antimicrobial activity of compounds such as antimicrobial peptides? This lecture will provide an insight into (a) conceptual considerations for suitable model systems; (b) different biophysical techniques such as fluorescence spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy; and (c) microfluidic-driven liposome generation and analysis.
