Alex earned his PhD from MIT, where he created a novel RNA circularization technology. His work led to key publications that substantiated the field of synthetic circular RNA and enabled their use for investigative therapeutic applications. He co-founded Orna Therapeutics, a leading circular RNA medicine company. Alex recently joined the Gene and Cell Therapy Institute of Mass General Brigham where he built the RNA Therapeutics Core and a research group to develop next-generation RNA medicine platforms. He is also a Harvard Medical School Instructor in the Division of Engineering in Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
