Jai Prakash is a Full Professor and Chair of Engineered Therapeutics at the University of Twente, The Netherlands. His research is focused on developing targeted (nano)therapeutics to reprogram stromal and immune cells within the tumor microenvironment (TME) for improved treatment of cancer. The group is also developing advanced 3D in vitro models to mimic the TME. His research has been published in top ranked journals such as Science Advances, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Cancer Discovery, etc. He is also a founder and CSO of ScarTec Therapeutics, a company developing stroma-targeted therapeutics. He is a co-founder of the CRS BeNeLux and France Local chapter and served as the President from 2021-2023. He is a ounder and Chair of NanoTME society which organizes NanoTME conference every two years. He is also an Associate Editor for Journal of Controlled Release, Frontiers in Oncology and other journals. In other duties, he has been serving as a Deputy Chair of Innovation Fund Denmark and on other international grant panels. In 2024, he was awarded with the prestigious ERC Advanced Grant from European Commission.
