Dr. Emily Day is Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Delaware, where she began her faculty appointment in 2013. She received her B.S. in Physics from the University of Oklahoma, her Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Rice University, and completed postdoctoral training in Chemistry at Northwestern University. Her research aims to engineer nanoscale materials for high-precision therapy of aggressive cancers, blood disorders, and maternal/fetal health conditions. She was an invited participant in the 2019 National Academy of Engineering Frontiers of Engineering Symposium and was named a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering in 2022.
