Gustavo Doncel, MD, PhD, is the Scientific and Executive Director of CONRAD (www.conrad.org), a US-based non-profit biomedical R&D organization at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Old Dominion University. He is also Professor and the Murray Waitzer Endowed Chair of OBGYN and Biomedical & Translational Sciences. Dr. Doncel’s and CONRAD’s research focuses on innovative user-centered product development, especially in women’s health. Dr. Doncel has published more than 200 scientific papers and has been or is a reviewer/advisor for the US National Institutes of Health, the World Health Organization, the European Commission Directorate-General for Research and Innovation and numerous national grant funding agencies and foundations.
