Marina Better is 5th year Ph.D. candidate in the Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences Department at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her research focus is on local drug delivery for preterm birth prevention and maternal-fetal health. Marina is deeply invested in reproductive/women's health research, and scientific outreach as she's served as a graduate ambassador for JHU summer internship program for the last two years, and has recently been awarded a Vivian Thomas Scholars Institute Mentoring Fellowship. After completing her Ph.D., she plans to attend medical school and train as an OB/GYN to conduct more clinically informed research as a physician-scientist.
