Ana Sofia Sousa, MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, is a PhD student at CBQF (Universidade Católica Portuguesa) and i3S (Universidade do Porto). Her research focuses on engineering multifunctional nanoparticles for targeted delivery of bioactives in the gut, aiming to address intestinal inflammation. She is part of the gBiOT project, which is developing microrobotic technologies to address gastrointestinal disorders. Her interdisciplinary interests span health sciences, pharmacy, biotechnology, nanotechnology, and sustainable bioproducts, reflecting a strong commitment to improving human health and fostering innovation. Sofia is passionate about translating scientific discoveries into practical solutions with real-world impact.
