Dr. Dhanashree Surve is an Assistant Scientist at the Diabetes Research Institute, University of Miami, where she leads the drug delivery team focused on translational immunomodulatory therapies for type 1 diabetes. Her expertise spans complex injectables, spherical and non-spherical long-acting nanoformulations, and novel mRNA and CRISPR Cas9 gene delivery systems. She holds a Ph.D. in Drug Delivery from BITS Pilani and has authored high-impact publications, bookchapters, and filed three non-provisional patents. A recipient of the Sun Pharma Science Scholar Award, Dr. Surve also serves as a reviewer for reputed journals and an invited speaker in national and international forums.
