Dr. Martins concluded her PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Porto (Portugal), University of Nottingham (UK) and University of Louvain (Belgium) in 2023, and is currently a Junior Postdoctoral Researcher at i3S Institute, University of Porto, Portugal. Her research on nanomedicine, brain delivery and tissue engineering in leading academic and industrial institutions has led to €350K in funding, 27 publications, and 25 prestigious awards (e.g., Nano2Clinic COST Action Early Career Investigator Award (2019), Galenus Foundation Technology Prize (2023)).
