Evgenia Mitsou received her M.Sc. in biology in 2014 and her Ph.D. in nanotechnology in 2019 from the University of Ioannina, Greece. From 2021 to 2024, she was an Azrieli international postdoctoral fellow in Jacob Klein's group at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel. In 2025, she transitioned to a group leader position at the National Hellenic Research Foundation, Greece. She has a strong background in nanobiotechnology, focusing on the development of colloidal nanodispersions for different pharmaceutical applications. Her research involves liposomes, lipid nanoparticles, emulsions, and gels for drug delivery through various administration routes, including topical, intravenous, nasal, and intra-articular.
