Vasu currently leads R&D efforts at Syntis Bio. He has a proven track record in driving programs through development. Prior to joining Syntis Bio, Vasu was the Head of Formulation and Bioprocess Development at Synlogic developing the formulations and processes to move biologic programs through development. Previously, he was a scientist at Ironwood, advancing oral formulations for small molecules and peptides. He began his industry career with Alkermes with the development of formulations and methods for pulmonary and injectable dosage forms. Vasu received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from UNC-Chapel Hill and his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
