Hemi (Menahem) Rotenberg is an assistant professor of Biomedical Engineering at the Technion, Israel. His lab is focused on the interface between materials and biology, developing new methodologies to perform bioelectrical and biomechanical stimulation of cells, tissues, and organs. This is done by using semiconducting micro and nanomaterials and stimulating them with light and magnetic manipulations.
He received the Krill Prize for 2025, and was granted the ERC.StG at 2024.
