Jing Liu is a postdoctoral fellow in the Muzykantov Laboratory at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. She has expertise in targeted drug delivery and gene therapy. Her research focuses on two main areas: (1) erythrocyte-mediated drug delivery—conjugating therapeutic cargos to red blood cells to enhance vascular targeting and anti-inflammatory efficacy; (2) gene therapy, including electroporation-mediated gene transfer to treat Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) and lipid nanoparticle (LNP)-mediated mRNA delivery of interleukin-10 (IL-10) as a therapeutic strategy for sepsis with CLP model. Dr. Liu integrates advanced nanoparticle engineering with in vivo pharmacokinetic and biodistribution studies to optimize delivery and therapeutic outcomes.
