Prof. Brambilla is an associate professor of drug delivery at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Université de Montreal. His research laboratory focuses on exploring the potential of new materials and micro and nanotechnologies for the design of effective drug delivery strategies and diagnostic devices. Among others, he has major contributions in nanomedicine for managing chronic diseases and pioneered the concept of fluorescent medical tattoos for the non-invasive and wearable monitoring of pathological parameters. He co-authored over 80 publications in peer-reviewed international journals (Sci Adv, Adv Mat, Adv Funct Mat, Small, Biomaterials, J Control Release, JCI Insight).
