Rita C Acúrcio is a Junior Researcher at the BioNanoSciences – Drug Delivery & Immunoengineering research groups at iMed.ULisboa, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lisbon. Her research focuses on the development and characterization of immunotherapeutic tools (nanotechnology- and small-molecule-based tools) to modulate the tumor microenvironment. Rita’s research work involves characterizing the anti-tumor effects induced by the developed nano-immunotherapeutic tools designed to modulate the functions of key cells within the tumor microenvironment, including T cells, myeloid-derived cells, and fibroblasts.
