Heloísa Athaydes, PhD researcher at the Laboratory of Biophysics of Nanostructured Systems at UFMG, Brazil, holds an MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from UFMG, where she investigated liposomes coencapsulating cisplatin and paclitaxel. Her current research focuses on gene therapy using pDNA, mRNA, and siRNA, as well as immune modulation, viral infections, and nanoparticle freeze-drying. She is an active member of the CRS Brazilian Local Chapter (BLC), the BLC-YSC, and the CRS-YSC.
