Ajay Thatte is a fourth year Bioengineering PhD student in Dr. Michael Mitchell’s lab at the University of Pennsylvania. He is interested in using biomaterial-based technologies for nucleic acid delivery with the overarching goal of engineering immune cells in the context of inflammatory disorders and cancer. His current projects involve engineering lipid nanoparticles to combat autoimmune disease and graft-versus-host disease.
