Patricia Ines Back is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Abilene, United States. She earned her Bachelor of Pharmacy and Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Her research focuses on understanding the metabolic fate of lipid nanoparticle components and applying this knowledge to design nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems. Her studies are directed toward modulating the immune system and enhancing the anti-cancer efficacy of therapeutics within the tumor microenvironment.
