Kristin Fichna completed her Bachelor and Master in Chemistry with focus on polymeric chemistry for biomedical applications at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany. Currently, she is a PhD student in the doctoral programme of "Biotechnology" at the Smart Nano-bio-devices group at IBEC, Barcelona, Spain, where she focuses on the development of enzyme-powered nanomotors and their use as drug-delivery system, with special focus on bladder cancer and urinary tract infections.
