I am a first-generation Colombian-American scientist. I completed my PhD in biomedical engineering at Drexel University under Dr. Jake Brenner (UPenn) and Dr. Kara Spiller (Drexel). My thesis revolved around developing lung-targeted mRNA-based therapeutics and understanding the safety profile. I am now a postdoctoral researcher under Dr. Norbert Pardi and Dr. Michael Hogan, working to create new mRNA-based vaccines for infectious diseases in the lungs and other organs
