Rupal Kothari is a DST-INSPIRE Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Pharmacy, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, pursuing her Ph.D. under Prof. Venkata Vamsi Krishna Venuganti. Her research focuses on developing localized delivery systems for photosensitizers, chemotherapeutic agents, and immune checkpoint inhibitors to improve phototherapy for oral cancer. She explores advanced combination therapies such as chemophotodynamic therapy and photoimmunotherapy to overcome therapeutic challenges in oral cancer. Her work aims to create effective, patient-friendly cancer treatments with enhanced efficacy and reduced systemic side effects.
