Maria Samara is a PhD researcher at the Sotiriou Lab, where she develops innovative wound dressings designed to prevent infections and enhance healing. Before beginning her doctoral studies, she was selected to attend specialized courses in Biomedical Engineering at Université Libre de Bruxelles and in Tissue Regeneration at Université de Liège. She holds an integrated MSc in Chemical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with a focus on bio-nanomaterials and biomedicine. Her interdisciplinary experience spans 3D printing, biomechanics, tissue engineering, and feasibility studies, reflecting a strong drive to translate advanced materials research into impactful biomedical solutions.
