Fangyuan Zhang is a third-year PhD student at the School of Pharmacy, University College London, where he also earned his Master of Science degree with distinction before starting his PhD journey. His current research focuses on optimizing dry powder inhaler (DPI) formulations using electrospray technology for the pulmonary delivery of antibodies in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In addition, he developed an antiviral/antimicrobial nanofibre mesh using electrospinning technology during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the in vitro activity was confirmed against SARS-CoV-2, RSV, Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
