Khadija graduated from the School of Pharmacy, Tripoli University, Libya and worked as a pharmacist before joining Ghent University, Belgium for a Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her research focused on antimicrobial coatings and microbial contamination of medical devices using Solid Phase Cytometry. She earned a second Master’s in Microbiology & Molecular Genetics from Oklahoma State University. She is currently a doctoral student in Dr. Michniak’s lab working on topical drug delivery.
