Helena Florindo obtained her Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Technology in 2008. Currently, she is a Vice-Dean for Research and a Full Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lisbon.
She is the head of the BioNanoSciences – Drug Delivery & Immunoengineering Research Group, at iMed.ULisboa) University of Lisbon. Her research focuses on developing nanobiomaterials for cancer immunotherapies, combining nano-vaccines with therapeutics targeting the tumor microenvironment. A member of the INFARMED Medicines Agency and an EMA expert, she evaluates drug approvals, linking regulatory insights to her work in immune-oncology to design innovative cancer treatments.
