Immuno Delivery
Inflammation after a heart attack results in long-term adverse consequences with inadequate therapies to mitigate injury and the resultant fibrosis. Suppression of pro-inflammatory macrophages responsible for tissue injury leads to increased mortality, while therapies that balance immunity represent an innovative therapeutic approach. Drug delivery strategies that efficiently deliver immunomodulatory therapeutics to phagocytes that migrate to sites of injury represents an innovative therapeutic paradigm to promote balanced immunity and improve tissue repair.
