NAC-based Ionic Liquids for GLP-1 Delivery: A Mechanistic Understanding of In Vivo Performance
Thursday, July 17, 2025
10:29 AM – 10:54 AM EDT
Introduction: Currently, oral delivery of peptides requires formulations with high concentrations of permeation enhancer (PE) to promote absorption, and fast onset of action to mitigate dosing condition [1]. For this purpose, we have developed a salcaprozate-based ionic liquids (IL), namely choline salcaprozate (CHONAC), for oral delivery of a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) analogue via gastric absorption.
