SYNT, a Synthetic Polymer Lining, to Unlock the Full Therapeutic Potential of the Small Intestine

Syntis Bio has developed a technology, SYNT, that can be utilized in multiple ways to capitalize on the therapeutic potential that lies within the small intestine. The technology can be used to block or redirect nutrient absorption, to increase the residence time of orally delivered enzymes in the gastrointestinal tract, and to increase the oral bioavailability of a range of therapeutic molecules. Syntis Bio has developed manufacturing approaches to deliver SYNT as a solid oral dosage form and has developed in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro characterization approaches. As a result of this development, the Syntis team is looking to advance SYNT forward into a wide range of clinical indications.
