Nanomedicine and Nanoscale Delivery (Focus Group - NND)
Long-acting injectable suspensions offer significant therapeutic potential in terms of patient compliance, lesser pill burden and stable plasma concentrations. However, LAI suspensions are underdeveloped mainly due to lack of product understanding. Due to their complex nature, the intricate interplay between the formulation parameters and in vitro/in vivo performance is poorly understood. The aim of this study is to examine how the different particle size reduction techniques can impact the aggregation behavior and in turn the in vitro performance of medroxyprogesterone acetate suspensions.
