Glioblastoma remains one of the most aggressive and treatment-resistant brain tumors, with limited therapeutic options and poor clinical outcomes. In this talk, I will explore how gene delivery technologies are opening new frontiers in glioblastoma treatment by harnessing the power of immunotherapy and precision medicine.
Focusing on self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) nanovaccines, I will present the design and development of lipid and polymeric nanoparticles engineered to deliver immunostimulatory payloads directly to the tumor microenvironment. These platforms aim to reprogram immune responses and overcome the unique barriers of the brain tumor niche. In parallel, I will discuss the use of therapeutic oligonucleotides as complementary strategies to modulate gene expression and enhance therapeutic efficacy.
Through this integrative approach, spanning nanotechnology, immunoengineering, and nucleic acid therapeutics, I will highlight how rational design of delivery systems can enable more targeted, potent, and personalized therapies for glioblastoma.
