Quim Peña obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the UAB (Spain) and AMU (France) universities in 2019. He is a Junior Group Leader at the Institute for Experimental Molecular Imaging (RWTH Aachen University Hospital). His research integrates prodrug chemistry, (nuclear) imaging and nanotechnology for improved delivery of bioactive metals and anticancer drugs, with the aim of enhancing (immuno-)therapy efficacy, treatment tolerability and, ultimately, promoting clinical translation. He is involved in scientific societies like CRS-YSC, and he is part of the editorial board of journals like OpenNano (Elsevier).
